The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia’s Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.
FN Care Global Technology Team aims to bring the best troubleshooting knowledge out of FN products to the whole Care Delivery community, develop state-of-art tools in assisting the field issue support, and collaborate with regional experts and R&D team to resolve the prolong and complex issues, in the meantime identify the new opportunities of product maintainability and debuggability and chase R&D to implement.
What you will learn and contribute to
As part of our team, you will:
- Study deep into the BBN products (ISAM xPON) SW/HW/Features/Releases, explore the complex issues, summarize practical troubleshooting knowledge, verify and validate in the labs, then prepare training to the whole CARE community.
- Work independently and remotely with other team members around the globe to develop & deliver the state-of-art troubleshooting methods and diagnostic tool (Alexx).
- Contribute to the online Knowledge Framework where FN product and troubleshooting knowledge is stored for Care community’s daily reference.
- Collaborate with squad team and R&D for complex technical issues. Ensure case owner and expert learning from the issues and writing articles to spread the knowledge.
- Build requirements and work with product unit for enhanced diagnostic capability and follow up correct development and implementation.
- Work with Care Innovation team and other technology teams with regard to Automation/ML/AI capability buildup for better Care delivery.
Your skills and experience
You have:
- Master degree (desired)/Bachelor degree in Telecommunication, Computer, Information Technology or Engineering.
- 7+ years of troubleshooting related experience on FN GPON/XGSPON/ONT products.
- Experience with Linux, network protocols, scripting and network testing and analzying tools (Spirent Test Center, IPerf, Wireshark etc).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated, aggressive and solution driven.
- Skills in developing structured technical documents/procedures and communicating effectively to technical engineers
- Independent working and multi-cultural global teamwork experience
- Willingness to share practical knowledge and presentation skills
It would be nice if you also had:
- Scripting experience especially on Python.
- Layer 2/Layer3 IP/MPLS protocols knowledge and experience.
- Cisco or Nokia IP certificates
